The design of RCC structures for API Pharma plants begins with a thorough review of the civil working drawings to understand the load distribution of process equipment installed at different locations and elevations. Special care is taken to verify stair placements, hoist locations, landing levels, emergency staircases, equipment loading and unloading zones, and the location and capacity of overhead water storage tanks, including equipment load considerations at terrace levels. The live load of each floor is determined based on industrial standards or specific process requirements as outlined in the working drawings.
All these load parameters are then input into advanced structural design software such as STAAD (Pro-Connect Edition) or ETABS to perform detailed analysis and structural design. This process helps in deriving the precise sizes for foundations, beams, and columns, as well as in preparing detailed steel and concrete reinforcement specifications for each RCC member, in compliance with IS codes.
We proceed to develop comprehensive foundation drawings with complete steel and concrete details. Additionally, slab-wise structural drawings are prepared, incorporating essential cutouts for equipment, insert plates, sleeves, duct routes, cable tray paths, and stair configurations, ensuring alignment with the overall plant layout. A detailed Civil BOQ is created, specifying the quantities and technical details for RCC works, steel fabrication, shuttering, brickwork, excavation, plastering, and other related civil works, enabling smooth procurement and contractor engagement.
Further, we undertake the review, correction, and evaluation of civil contractor submissions based on their technical offers and proven experience, providing clear recommendations for contractor selection. Throughout execution, stage-wise inspections and site guidance are carried out to maintain the highest quality and ensure strict adherence to design specifications. The design of MS structures, including boiler houses and other industrial buildings, is performed in accordance with IS CODE IS 800-2007, ensuring safe and compliant structures.
